Chapman Family Interviews

Having mentioned and prayed for the Chapman family as a class, I thought you all might be interested in a couple interviews that took place in the past few weeks with them. They are an amazing family who clearly display the hope of Christ in the midst of dark times. I dare you to watch this without shedding a tear.

Good Morning America:

Larry King Live:

I thank God for people like the Chapmans. What a great encouragement to many Christians and a great witness to the rest of the world.

This was such an emotional interview, I am still crying writing this. This family blows me away of their grace and faith. I first heard Steve curtis chapman sing and talk at the 2007 hillsong conference in Sydney Australia. My husband and I had never heard of of him, but we walked away from the conference that day with his name in our heart. Steve curtis chapman spoke about how his daughter had come to him with bible verses backing her up, saying that they needed to adopt, because god wrote in the bible that we need to look after the orphaned children. This spoke to me and my husband so much as we had been trying to have a third child for two years, but kept having misscarriage after misscariage, and god spoke to us this day through Steve that we also needed to adopt, because if our daughter was old enough to understand she would of also asked to adopt like steves daughter had. Now in three weeks time we are about to start our interview process to adopt a permanent care child in Australia. We felt god telling us that we needed to love and protect a child from here that had been through abuse and neglect. This interview with Steve and his family just showed me that through such an awfull tragedy their faith is just so strong and that gives me strength to do what god has told me to do, and that is look after the orphaned children. May god bless steve and his family.

    God Bless
